Recycling

Amagerforbrænding operates a number of recycling stations in the local area. The stations provide the inhabitants with the opportunity to hand over sorted waste for recycling.

  • 76 % of the waste handed in at the recycling stations is reused
  • 21 % cannot be recycled and is incinerated and utilised for electricity and district heating
  • 3% is deposited or specially treated

Recycling is an important part of the Danish Waste System.

Every day, the employees at the recycling stations help and guide the customers to sort the waste correctly for recycling.
